A Day for Spoiling

The morning began like any other January morning in Houston. It was cold. Wet. Windy. But my little girl was being a very well-behaved child that morning and it was only after I'd gotten a couple of miles down the road that I realized she'd found her sunglasses and was stylin' in the backseat.

Stylin

A little later in the day, I decided to surprise Celeste by taking her for a little Mommy-Daughter time at Oasis Nails. And it was there, on Friday, January 21, 2011, that my 4-year-old daughter received her first pedicure. And was that interesting!

It started with Celeste getting a little afraid of the ladies and they're accents.

Nervous

Then she decided she was not going to do it. So she hid behind the front counter so that the ladies couldn't see her.

Hiding

Finally, after the lady took her cart away and I told Celeste it was too late, she worked her way into the chair. And she began asking if the lady would come back and do her feet as she swirled them in the water.

Nervous Excitement

So she did, and Celeste got her pedicure.

Feels soooo good!
Just like a big girl!

Afterwards, Celeste kept telling me how much fun she'd had and how she is excited about getting another one. Oh no! Haha, but we had a great little bit of special Mommy-Daughter time. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Fairies in Wonderland

This past weekend, our little family made the trek across Houston to Ikea to purchase some furniture. While we were there, Celeste found this beautiful little bedroom that she fell in love with and was playing in, so Eric took these cute photos.

Oh, WOW!

I should also mention that Celeste loves fairy wings, and these were hers from her PawPaw and Grammy, and she just had to wear them to the store. She was absolutely adorable, and caught everyone's eye.

Playtime

We really love our baby girl.
