Happy Easter!

I woke up Easter Sunday to the beautiful blooms from my Giant Iris plants. So pretty!

After getting ready, we headed off to church at First Church.

First Church on Easter Sunday 2011

Celeste had colored a beautiful poster the week before, and all of the kids had a little parade where they walked in with their poster. She won first place for her beautiful poster! This is her first official ribbon/award for her artwork, and she is extremely excited!

After church was over, the three of us went to Landry's in Kemah and watched the boats while we ate. Celeste had to take pictures of her first ribbon, and she was beaming about it!

Loved this relaxing day.

SeaWorld

This weekend, we made another trek to San Antonio to take Celeste to Sea World. Man, she loves that place. We had a lot of fun doing all kinds of neat things. Here are some pics.

Celeste was able to play with the Beluga whales while at Sea World. They were following her around the pool rather than watching anyone else. It was so cute! Here she is getting kissed from a Beluga whale.

We had such a great time!

Day with PaPaw & Nana

Celeste is hanging out with my parents today, and she is totally milking Nana & PaPaw for all she can! My mom sent me this video from her iPhone of Celeste swinging in the park today; too cute.

I remember when she was the length of my forearm. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

She Loves Music

So it's no news to all who know Celeste that she absolutely loves music. She doesn't like slow songs, there has to be a kickin' beat, some guitars, and it has to be played LOUD at all times.

Recently, she started this head banging thing that kind of cracks me up. She was doing it this morning on the way to Ms. Linda's, so I filmed it with my new phone.

Unfortunately, this was my first time filming anything with this phone and it didn't click that it would be filming sideways. Sorry! Until I rotate it some other way, this is the only viewing option I have. Still cute!

Rays of Sunshine

I'd forgotten to post these photos of Celeste holding her chosen purple petunias when I posted the photos of the yardwork we've been doing. The morning after, she and I were on our way out the door when she ran up to the petunias, picked one, and asked me if I could put it in her hair and tuck it behind her ear "like a princess!" So of course I obliged! And she was just precious.

Holding a flower

Yep, I love this little angel.

Moments to Ponder...or Not?

So for lunch today, I ran by the local 888 Bistro on El Camino. I must mention that this place is delicious.

Today's trip, however, provided some extra, unusual entertainment. My fortune cookie's insert has me laughing at the writer's obvious attempt to be profound...yet with an end result of quite the alternative.

How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?

Stressed, YES!!

So there have been a few who've commented about my lack of posting on Facebook lately. It makes me smile to know that people enjoy reading the little events that I post about Celeste on a daily basis, but I've just been swamped lately. This past week has been crammed with too few hours and too many tasks at home, work and school. I need more hours in the day.

Thank goodness this semester is nearly over. It's hard to believe that I'm almost there. Seems like just yesterday when I walked across the stage at Moody Gardens and received my diploma. I can't believe it's been nearly 12 years. Wow, I'm SO OLD!!

Without my family helping me through every single step along the way, I never would have made it thus far. And of course, I can't forget the One who pulls it all together. It's because of Him that I am able to face each new challenging task.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
