Six Years

Yesterday marked the sixth year that we've been married. I didn't know what we were going to do, but Eric had told me that he had something special planned for us. The day began with a quick Christmas ritual - a trip with my Aunt Cyndi to Jackie's private show in El Lago.

Then that afternoon, we took Celeste to my mom's and we went for a nice little trip to Starbucks in Baybrook and walked the mall a bit. And after, we drove up to the Spindletop restaurant at the Hyatt Regency for an amazing dinner and a wonderful time.

Dinner began with the Spindletop's Signature Avocado Dome, and Eric had the Blackened Red Snapper while I had the Filet Mignon. We were stuffed, and weren't planning on doing dessert there because we'd decided on going to The Chocolate Bar afterwards. However, our waiter brought us a Chocolate Souffle and wow, it was incredibly delicious.

Those are rose petals on our table.

Afterwards, we went to the Chocolate Bar anyway, and purchased something small for Celeste, and then we drove back to our part of town and saw "Megamind." Yep, a kid's movie. But man, was it funny!

The day turned out to be quite wonderful, and I really enjoyed it. And the weather was so nice!!! These six years have really flown by fast.
